Environmental Desert Cultural Research Center located at 6500' elevation in Northeast Nevada. Ongoing experiments into water collection, remote wildlife filming and the recording of local oral histories and desert hermit manifestos are the current focus of funded research.
The post and beams are now infilled with salvaged, heavy-guage galvanized steel studs. Oriented Strand Board (OSB) at 7/16” fastened with galvanized screws make up the rear and side shear walls. This will later be clad with corten steel panels for maximum strength, fire rating and weatherability.
