Environmental Desert Cultural Research Center located at 6500' elevation in Northeast Nevada. Ongoing experiments into water collection, remote wildlife filming and the recording of local oral histories and desert hermit manifestos are the current focus of funded research.

Lab Report: Recent research into 12v pump design indicates that an all-metal or super heavy duty plastic pump head is more desirable than an economy sized one. As well, more PSI never hurts. We are switching to a 4 gallon per minute, 60 PSI pump after the mechanical failure of our 3 gallon per minute RV pump from Surflo. The North Star equivalent from Northern Tool ($89) also has replacement parts. Photo here shows the head of the pump with a broken off port.
